Introduction
The ERAI Fellowship – Media Cohort is an international programme designed for journalists working in an information environment increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence. The fellowship focuses on ethics, governance, accountability, and public trust — equipping journalists to critically examine AI systems, report on their societal implications, and navigate the professional responsibilities that arise when technology shapes what people see, believe, and understand. Through expert-led sessions, applied labs, and capstone work, fellows engage with real-world questions facing newsrooms today, strengthening judgement rather than technical specialisation.

Engage as an Expert
The ERAI Fellowship engages with AI experts across ethics, governance, policy, and responsible deployment to support rigorous, public-interest engagement with artificial intelligence. Experts contribute through structured sessions, applied labs, and guided discussions with fellows, drawing on real-world experience to interrogate how AI systems function, fail, and shape institutions.
