An IFRS Foundation trustee and seasoned Latin American leader whose work spans public policy, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement across the multilateral, government, and private sectors.

Isabel de Saint Malo has dedicated her career to strengthening global governance, transparency, and sustainability. She served as Vice President and Foreign Minister of Panama (2014 to 2019) and has been internationally recognized for her leadership in peacebuilding and women’s empowerment, with distinctions from Forbes, the Truman Institute, and Americas Society. A Harvard, Aspen, and CALI Fellow, she has held board positions at BBVA and Mercantil Servicios Financieros Internacional, and is a founding member of the Association of Women Corporate Directors. She is a member of GWL Voices, member of the board of Women Political Leaders, and serves on the Editorial Board of Americas Quarterly. Currently, she is a Trustee of the IFRS Foundation, where she advances universal sustainability standards and transparency in capital markets, and Vice Chair of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference, an initiative of the German government and the city of Hamburg.
