I am Brenda, a TV Producer and Director at KBC with a passion for creating compelling stories that inform, educate, and inspire. My work spans television production, content development, documentary storytelling, and live broadcast coverage, including producing the morning show and directing live Parliament proceedings.
Throughout my career, I have been committed to using media to amplify voices, highlight community issues, and showcase stories of leadership, innovation, and social impact. I believe journalism has the power to shape public discourse, promote accountability, and foster positive change. I am equally passionate about mentoring and creating opportunities for young creatives and emerging storytellers, helping them gain visibility and grow their careers in the media industry.
Joining the Ethical and Responsible AI (ERAI) Fellowship marks an exciting step in my professional journey. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into newsrooms, I want to ensure that innovation strengthens the principles of ethical journalism. The fellowship will equip me with the knowledge and practical tools to understand AI governance, identify and mitigate algorithmic bias, improve verification practices, and champion transparency and accountability in editorial decision-making.
My goal is to help build a future where technological innovation and ethical storytelling work together to enhance public trust and that journalism continues to serve the public interest.
