Global Faculty Board

The ERAI Global Advisory Board brings together senior leaders in media, policy, law, and technology from across the world. Their role is to guide the fellowship's strategic direction, validate its curriculum, and ensure it reflects the highest standards of journalistic and institutional integrity. Each board member's profile is published with their written consent and approval.

She works at the intersection of AI, capital, and enterprise strategy, and speaks regularly at generative and agentic AI summits across Europe. Her focus spans AI governance, digital transformation, and the operational realities of scaling emerging technology inside organizations.

Vice President, AI Labs, NPR

She leads NPR's AI strategy as a business leader, running pilots and partnerships that build trust and augment newsroom capacity while upholding public service values. She previously spent over a decade at National Public Media, where she co-founded NPR's AI Labs and helped write the network's AI guidelines.

A life sciences technology strategist with 20-plus years across AI, data platforms, and digital transformation in pharma and biotech. She was formerly Global CTO for Life Sciences at Snowflake and has held leadership roles at AWS, Sanofi, and Cognizant.

Innovation Attache, Embassy of Israel in India

An AI policy researcher and ethicist, she leads technology partnerships between the Israeli and Indian startup ecosystems and represents Israel as an expert at GPAI-OECD. She holds an MSc from the Oxford Internet Institute and serves on the Scientific Council of the Israeli Association for Ethics in AI.

He built a data and insights group to bring AI-driven workflows into the newsroom, work that won a 2024 WAN-IFRA award. His career spans data, analytics, product management, and digital media across The Hindu, News Corp, and Aditya Birla Capital.

She leads how AI is applied across member experience, growth, efficiency, and risk at the $8.1 billion credit union. Previously VP of Digital Incubator, Applied AI and Transformation at Unum, she is a longtime advocate for responsible AI in regulated industries.

An award-winning Egyptian-German journalist and AI strategist with over 15 years in broadcast and digital media across Europe and the Middle East. She founded Ai.Human.Story to help newsrooms use AI responsibly and is pursuing an MSc in Cyberpsychology.

A former journalist building the infrastructure for a healthier global news ecosystem.

Sharon Moshavi is the president of the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) and the co-CEO of ICFJ+, a new global nonprofit co-founded with Code for Africa and Proto. ICFJ+ exists to get actionable information into the hands of people, working with journalists, technologists, and civil society to foster systemic solutions. Moshavi, who previously served as ICFJ's senior vice president of new initiatives, has worked to advance journalism globally for nearly two decades. Prior to ICFJ, she worked at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

Chancellor, UC San Diego

Engineer, cybersecurity pioneer, and leader of one of the largest research universities in the US.

Dr. Pradeep Khosla became the eighth Chancellor of UC San Diego in 2012, where he serves as CEO of a campus of roughly 46,000 students, 34,000 faculty and staff, and a $9.1B annual budget. He spent three decades at Carnegie Mellon University, rising to Dowd University Professor and Dean of the College of Engineering, where he founded CyLab and the Institute for Complex Engineered Systems. His research spans robotics and autonomous systems, cybersecurity, embedded software, and systems engineering.

Member of Parliament and Chairman, European Affairs Committee, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

Ukrainian statesman and scholar shaping his country's European integration and human-rights agenda.

Hryhoriy Nemyria is a Ukrainian politician, historian, and sociologist who served as Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for European Integration from 2007 to 2010. A member of the Batkivshchyna party, he has chaired the Verkhovna Rada committees on European Integration and on Human Rights, and continues in its foreign-policy leadership. He holds a PhD from Kyiv Shevchenko University and is a graduate of the National Security Program at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

President and CEO, New York Academy of Sciences

Historian, anthropologist, and former Berkeley Chancellor now leading one of America's oldest scientific institutions.

Nicholas B. Dirks is a widely respected historian and anthropologist and a prominent leader in higher education. Since 2020 he has been President and CEO of the New York Academy of Sciences, founded in 1817 to advance scientific research, education, and policy. He served as the 10th Chancellor of UC Berkeley from 2012 to 2017, where he launched a Division of Data Science and global partnerships including the Tsinghua Berkeley Shenzhen Institute. Earlier he was Executive Vice President for the Arts and Sciences and Dean of the Faculty at Columbia. A Guggenheim and MacArthur fellow, he is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations. His latest book, City of Intellect, was published by Cambridge University Press in 2024.

Board Member, International Affairs Advisor, Former Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama

An IFRS Foundation trustee and seasoned Latin American leader whose work spans public policy, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement across the multilateral, government, and private sectors.

Isabel de Saint Malo has dedicated her career to strengthening global governance, transparency, and sustainability. She served as Vice President and Foreign Minister of Panama (2014 to 2019) and has been internationally recognized for her leadership in peacebuilding and women's empowerment, with distinctions from Forbes, the Truman Institute, and Americas Society. A Harvard, Aspen, and CALI Fellow, she has held board positions at BBVA and Mercantil Servicios Financieros Internacional, and is a founding member of the Association of Women Corporate Directors. She is a member of GWL Voices, member of the board of Women Political Leaders, and serves on the Editorial Board of Americas Quarterly. Currently, she is a Trustee of the IFRS Foundation, where she advances universal sustainability standards and transparency in capital markets, and Vice Chair of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference, an initiative of the German government and the city of Hamburg.
