Rebekah Awuah is a highly respected Ghanaian journalist known for her cutting-edge documentaries. She speaks passionately about scaling up especially in the new age of Artificial Intelligence to remain relevant in her field. She is passionate about advocating for freedom of expression, press freedom, access to information, internet freedom, media development, critical challenges facing West African journalism, including political pressure, violence against journalists, and the specific threats of gender discrimination and online attacks that women journalists face.
A recognized leader in her field, Awuah was named the 2019 Africa Journalist of the Year in the Women’s Choice Awards Africa. Rebekah has received international recognition for her work, including being a finalist for the 2013 CNN Africa Journalists Awards. She has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2023 Energy and SDG Media Personality Award, the 2022 Ghana Energy Reporter of the Year Award, Best Business, Financial, and Economic Journalist, Arts, Entertainment, and Tourism Awardee, and Television Personality of the Year. Rebekah was also a finalist for the 2022 Humanitarian Awards Global et al.
